The Melbournaires Barbershop Chorus, Inc. was formed in May 1991. The Melbournaires Harmony Chorus, the club's largest chorus, is one of the best competing choruses in Australia and in the Pan Pacific Region. The Melbournaires have been ranked amongst the top choruses nationally since its first competition in 1995.

The chorus comprises about 40 men, singing 4-part barbershop harmony music performing regularly through the Melbourne metropolitan region. The chorus is a member of the BHA (Barbershop Harmony Australia) and is a non-profit organisation.
