Some Report and Consent applications require advertising to the development sites adjoining owners. You can either undertake the advertising yourself, or you can appoint Council to undertake the advertising at a cost. A minimum advertising period of 28 days applies when Council advertises.
Applicant undertakes advertising
Information provided to adjoining neighbour owners must reflect the nature of the proposal and extent of noncompliance(s). Through the adjoining neighbour owners comments, it must be clear to Council’s assessing officer that neighbours understand the nature of the proposal, specific to the regulation.
Council to advertise on behalf of the applicant
Council may be requested in writing to obtain adjoining owners comments. An advertising fee per property applies.
