Child safety is everyone’s responsibility. Council has zero tolerance for abuse, harm or neglect towards children and young people.

Keeping children and young people safe is a shared legal and moral responsibility.

Council’s commitment to children's and young people's safety is based the Victorian Child Safe Standards, which is under the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005.

Council’s role is to establish a safeguarding culture and practice to ensure all children and young people involved in Council’s activities, programs, services and/or facilities are safe.
