If you have received a fine from Whitehorse City Council, you should act now to avoid further costs.
You will know you have received a Council fine if it has the Whitehorse City Council logo printed on it. If there is no Council logo, you will need to discuss the matter with the organisation that issued the fine.

What happens if you take no action about your fine?
Fines don't just go away. Your fine will escalate through the fine process and may incur additional costs. After 28 days, Council will send you a Penalty Reminder Notice which may incur additional costs.
If no action is taken, your fine will progress to Fines Victoria for collection or the Victorian Magistrates' Court.
If your fine has been referred to Fines Victoria, they will issue a Notice of Final Demand requiring you to pay the fine, which will include any additional costs. Refer to the Fines Victoria website for more information.
