Request a Fine Payment Arrangement

If you are experiencing financial difficulties and are not able to pay your fine by the due date, you may be eligible for a payment arrangement, which includes an extension of time or paying your fine in instalments

Council only offers an extension of time as a payment arrangement while Fines Victoria offers either payment instalments or a payment extension of time to pay one or more fines.

If you are eligible for a payment arrangement, you may be able to combine your outstanding fines into a single payment arrangement.

The Infringements Act 2006 states that only specific people are eligible to apply for a fine payment arrangement.

Defaulting on a Council Payment Arrangement

A Council payment arrangement will be considered to be in default if the payment is not received by the due date.  It will then proceed through the fine process and may attract additional costs.
