Formed in 1987, BVRG is a community action group that seeks to influence Council and State Government for better planning outcomes that meet community and member expectations. In particular protection of bush landscape and tree canopy for which Blackburn is most valued – built form being subservient to vegetation. Changes in planning rules are eroding tree canopy at an unsustainable rate. New members are welcome.
