Most local adult residents who are Australian citizens are eligible to stand for Council, and there are no specific qualifications required to do so. Primarily, you must want to represent the voters and make good decisions for our community's future.

However, there are some reasons that people may be ineligible, including:

• you are already employed by Whitehorse City Council
• you have declared bankruptcy that is unresolved.
