Vermont South Neighbourhood House (as part of MACV Alliance) has partnered with The Chen Hotel and Box Hill Institute - Skills and Jobs Centre to provide an Introduction to Hospitality course.

This short-term course will provide both theory and practical based experience for people interested in gaining skills and knowledge in the following areas:

​- Barista Skills
- Food Preparation and Cooking Methods
- Use of Equipment and Utensils
- Working safely in a kitchen, and Safe Food
- Handling and Storage
- Food Presentation
- Planning Menus and Budgeting
- Organisation and Time Management, and
- Communication skills in the workplace

This course will provide pathways to paid employment and/or further study.
