A furry but very well behaved friend recently dropped in to Youth ConneXions in Box Hill.
The Whitehorse Youth Representative Committee were behind the initiative, which will see Rubi the support dog visiting Council’s youth drop in centre Youth ConneXions on a monthly basis. Whitehorse City Council and the Box Hill Central Rotary Club are supporting the initiative.
This program is based on research on the range of benefits of canine therapy for young people. Rubi and her handler Mandy from ‘Paws Moving You Forward’ will be available at Youth ConneXions each on the first Monday of each month from 3pm-4.30pm for pats, play and fun.
