Dementia Action Week is held from Monday 16 September to Sunday 22 September 2024 and this year’s theme is “Act Now for a Dementia-Friendly Future.”

In recognition of Dementia Action Week, Whitehorse City Council's Positive Ageing Team along with Umbrella Dementia Cafe are inviting you to a free information session.

Dementia Action Week Event

Come along and join us for a welcoming morning tea. Learn more about dementia, its progression and management strategies. We will discuss dementia signs and symptoms, identify preventive measures and learn what is in your control. You will also hear from guest speakers about diet, social connection and more.  
The event includes an optional movement, music and dance session.
