Advocating for Whitehorse

Whitehorse City Council has ambitious plans for equipping our city into the future, sitting at the centre of major population and urban development in Melbourne.

To deliver on this vision and ensure our community are understood and heard, Council advocates to all levels of government working alongside other local councils and regional groups.

Our advocacy aims to build support for new investment and initiatives in our city, as well as to support and advocate for residents affected by major projects – such as the Southern Rail Loop and Northeast Link – ensuring the best project outcomes that maximise the improvements these projects can deliver to our city.

Each quarter we release our Partnership Opportunities booklet ( PDF 4.11MB) which outlines specific projects that will help deliver our vision for the city.

We always welcome opportunities to partner with state and federal government, as well as surrounding councils and schools.
