The Whitehorse Recycling and Waste Centre accepts the following recyclables free of charge:
- Cardboard only (no paper or cardboard tubing)
- Batteries (domestic and car batteries) For the safe recycling of batteries please visit - Battery Safety
- Fluorescent tubes (domestic quantities only)
- Glass bottles/jars (clear and coloured)
- Aluminium (cans, pots, pans, window frames)
- Steel (whitegoods, guttering, roofing, bikes and appliances)
- Other metals (copper, brass, stainless steel)
- Electronic waste including anything with a cord or battery and medical devices (smoke detectors are not accepted)
- Paint (up to 100 litres) - for accepted products please visit Paintback
- X-rays (small quantities)
- Bikes (collected and donated to Brainwave Bikes for reuse)
