Whitehorse City Council delivers fully subsidised waste and sustainability incursions for Whitehorse early learning centres, primary schools and secondary schools.

Topics include:

  • Composting and worm farming 
  • Recycling right
  • Circular economy 
  • Litter and pollution
  • Climate change
  • Renewable energy
  • Active transport (schools only).

All school sessions align with the Victorian Curriculum and ResourceSmart Schools modules. 

There is a limit of up to two sessions (on a single day) for kindergartens per financial year. 

There is a limit of four sessions (on on single day) for schools per financial year, with a maximum of two sessions able to be booked for climate change, renewable energy and active transport topics.

All sessions are offered subject to availability and budget. Once allocations are exhausted, schools or kindergartens may book in with Council's provider at a cost to the school or kindergarten.
