Whitehorse Youth Representative Committee

The Whitehorse Youth Representative Committee (WYRC) is a group of 12 young volunteers aged 12-25 years that acts as a voice for young people, advocating on their behalf to Council and to the wider community on important youth issues.

Committee members take part in a year-long program to develop leadership skills and attend training in the areas of consultation, public speaking, marketing / promotion, event management, advocacy and community participation. Members gain valuable experience and use their skills throughout the year to connect with young people, schools and youth organisations to implement events, projects and initiatives that benefit young people and address important youth issues.

Whitehorse Youth ConneXions values the voice of young people.  We are currently undertaking work to develop ways young people can be involved on matters that impact them. If you wish to participate in this exciting opportunity, register your interest here and a team member from Whitehorse Youth ConneXions will be in touch.
