During a major public transport disruption emergency, information and advice regarding public transport disruptions and alternate travel options for the whole community will be disseminated to state government agencies and departments by Public Transport Victoria (PTV).
PTV’s role as a control agency is to manage and coordinate timely public information and warnings, including information on public transport services and emergency disruptions using the following information channels, including:
- PTV website
- Social media - twitter and apps such as tramTRACKER, V/Line and PTV
- PTV Call Centre – Call 1800 800 007 and select option 2. This call centre is operational Monday through Thursday 06:00hrs to Midnight, and Friday 06:00hrs through to Sunday Midnight.
