This deciduous tree brings colour to the garden both through the foliage and the flowers. Foliage ranges through greens and purples and the flowers in early spring are bright pink. There are other cultivars of the Eastern Redbud that have yellow leaves and the wild type has greener foliage and reaches a height of 8m.
