Council has approved the Draft Revenue and Rating Plan 2021-2025 (the Plan) at its Ordinary Council meeting on Monday 19 April 2021.
Section 93 of the Local Government Act 2020 requires Council to adopt a Revenue and Rating Plan for a period of at least the next 4 financial years by the next 30 June after a general Council election.
The Draft Revenue and Rating Plan ( PDF 1.22MB) outlines how Council will raise revenue to fund its services and capital works program, and deliver priority initiatives identified in the new Council Plan and Budget over the next 4 years. It includes the relevant assumptions, policy, and decisions of Council for each of its main sources of income in a high level pricing policy and Council's rating strategy.
The Draft Revenue and Rating Plan is now available for viewing by the community and Council would like to hear your feedback.

Feedback closes Wednesday 19 May 2021 at 11:59pm.
While the Plan provides a 4 year outlook, it will be reviewed within the next year to ensure it aligns with the Community Vision 2040, Council Plan 2021-2025 and Financial Plan 2021-2031 once these plans have been finalised.
The Draft Revenue and Rating Plan identifies the possible introduction of a waste service charge in 2023/2024. Significant community engagement and consultation will be undertaken before Council decides to proceed with this change. The Revenue and Rating Plan will be updated to reflect any such change to Council's revenue strategies as decisions are made in the coming years.
