Cr Kieran Simpson

Cr Kieran Simpson lives in Blackburn North with his young family, with strong ties to local schools, sporting clubs, and community groups. A software engineer with nearly 20 years of experience across various industries, he brings a problem-solving mindset to Council.

Motivated by a desire to serve the community, Cr Simpson advocates for open and transparent decision-making driven by genuine community engagement. His key priorities include keeping aquatics facilities in public hands, improving roads and footpaths, advancing the Koonung Reserve Masterplan, protecting open spaces, enhancing active transport options, and ensuring fiscal accountability.

He recognises the challenge of balancing development with environmental and infrastructure concerns while maintaining Whitehorse’s high standard of amenities. Committed to transparency and accountability, Cr Simpson works to ensure public policies reflect the best interests of the community.
