Construction of the new Southern Pavilion has officially begun with works kicking off on Tuesday 16 June 2026.

The redevelopment will deliver a multipurpose, inclusive community space that supports all ages sport, encourages women’s participation and improves facilities for outdoor recreation, play and social connection. 

New features: 

• Four unisex change rooms with amenities 
• Kiosk and kitchen with catering facilities 
• Large multi-purpose social room with partitions for smaller events 
• Office and meeting spaces 
• Cycling strength training room, available to other clubs 
• Improved spectator areas and seating 
• Multiple storage spaces 
• First aid room 
• Balcony 
• Lift 

We will continue to keep the community, including local residents, park users and sports clubs, informed as the project progresses.

This project is due for completion in mid-2027 and is funded by Council in partnership with the Australian Government through the Thriving Suburbs Program.
