Early Years Environmental Education - Excursions

Our Early Learning Programs can be tailored to meet the learning outcomes of your group. 

Kinder and ELC groups often enjoy excursions to Yarran Dheran, Blackburn Lake Sanctuary or other suitable locations upon request.

The following themes can be explored during a FREE part or full day excursion, guided by a Whitehorse Environmental Education Officer. Excursions are available on Wednesday or Thursdays.

Excursion Topics

Habitats for Wildlife Where do living things like to hide? Who lives where and why?
Minibeasts What are they? Why are they important? Where can they be found? Which is your favourite?!
Indigenous Perspectives Who's Country are we on? Let's learn about the ways that we can care for Country as the Wurundjeri people do, and have for countless generations. 
Healthy Waterways  What is the water cycle? Explore the urban and natural water cycles and the effects on our bushland and neighbourhood.
