Are you a local business, organisation, community group or resident in Whitehorse?

We are looking for real life examples of people who could hire our Council owned venues. You could feature in our photoshoot on Tuesday 12 or Wednesday 13 May, 2026. This is your chance to be part of our marketing campaign!

We are looking for people to represent The Round, Box Hill Town Hall, Strathdon House & Orchard Precinct, Box Hill Community Arts Centre, our community halls, sports pavilions and sports grounds. 

To enter the competition, complete an entry form by 11:59pm Sunday 26 April, 2026.

The prizes

• Win a $100 visa gift card to put towards your event/ venue hire at a Whitehorse City Council venue*.
• Professional photos including a 1-hour shoot with our photographer at a nominated Whitehorse City Council venue.
• Publicity - You could ‘Be the Face of our Space’. Your photos will be used in Whitehorse City Council’s marketing to help promote venue hire.
   

Who can enter the competition?

• Local businesses, organisations, associations, sports clubs, community groups or residents.
• You could be a current hirer or considering venue hire in Whitehorse. You must be located within Whitehorse to enter the competition.
• You could be a small business that runs workshops or classes. You might be a creative performer or teacher. You could be a resident looking to host a kids birthday party. Perhaps you are a supplier to the events industry such as a florist or wedding celebrant. You could be part of a community group or organise cultural celebrations.

• Box Hill Community Arts Centre
  This venue is home to many regular hire groups, ranging from Art and Craft, Performing Arts, Community and Special Interest groups. Set amongst beautiful gardens with light filled rooms, this is a perfect space to encourage creativity. It’s also ideal for workshops. 
   
• Strathdon House and Orchard Precinct
  Discover the historic charm of Strathdon House Precinct, nestled amongst beautiful gardens. With indoor and outdoor areas, it's perfect for celebrations. Host a kids party, a team building day, workshop or book the whole venue for a wedding!
   
• Sports pavilions and grounds
  Did you know that you can book a sports pavilion or sportsfield to use during the week? Typically they are available weekdays around 9am to 3pm. With affordable rates, it could be a great option for workshops, team days or running classes. 
   
• Community Halls
  Our Community Halls are suitable for children's parties, birthdays and celebrations, conferences, meetings, workshops, classes, seminars and private events. All Community Halls have seating, tables, a kitchen and many have parking.  *Conditions apply
