The Presence exhibition is the perfect place for student art

28 Nov 2018

Student’s from Box Hill Community Arts Centre’s (BHCAC) adult painting courses this year present an exhibition of their fabulous work in the exhibition, Presence.

Whitehorse Councillor Blair Barker said the students have worked with tutor Hilmi Baskurt who has expertise in fine art painting, printmaking, art history and theory.

“The students are exhibiting acrylic and oil paintings in this curated group show, which offers a wonderful opportunity for them to see a rewarding end to their studies and classes,” Cr Barker said.

“Being able to exhibit in such a professional gallery space with a wide audience of art lovers from Whitehorse and beyond is an educational as well as fun experience for the student artists.”

The students have produced paintings examining a range of subject matter and themes for this exhibition.

All are welcome to the official opening of the exhibition on Monday 10 December, 6pm-8pm.

The exhibition is open 11-16 December at Box Hill Community Arts Centre, 470 Station Street, Box Hill.
