Whitehorse Celebrates Equality and Respect

7 Nov 2018

Council is celebrating equality and respect during late November and early December, as part of the United Nations global campaign about ending violence against women.

Whitehorse Mayor Councillor Bill Bennett said this international call to action engages people across the world to get involved in making change in their everyday lives.

“Council encourages people to get active in promoting equality and respect. There are a number of initiatives that people can get involved in and show their support for this important campaign,” Cr Bennett said.

“Violence against women, including family violence, is preventable.”
