Council and Box Hill Institute are inviting residents, employees, students and visitors to participate in National Ride2Work Day on Wednesday 17 October.
Councillor Blair Barker said the Bicycle Network’s national event promoted the environmental and health benefits of cycling to work rather than driving, and was followed by a Council-hosted breakfast to help riders refuel after their commute.
“Bike riding is one of the easiest ways to include some exercise into daily routines,” Cr Barker said.
“Council’s community breakfast on the day is always a hit, and there is the chance to win some great prizes throughout the morning. This is a fun event and a great way to start a spring morning in Whitehorse.”
