Council is currently seeking expressions of interest from performers, community groups, social groups and service organisations to take part in the 2018 Whitehorse Spring Festival.
Whitehorse Mayor Councillor Andrew Davenport said Council’s Spring Festival offers a free, fun-filled day that celebrates our talented and diverse community.
“This year, the festival will be held on Sunday 21 October from 10am-4pm on the lawns of the Whitehorse Civic Centre in Nunawading. This annual event is always a huge success and festival participants have a wonderful, appreciative audience,” Cr Davenport said.
Each year, more than 20,000 local residents gather to experience the fantastic line-up of live performances of music, dance and children’s entertainment; interactive workshops and activity sessions; and the opportunity to engage with community groups.
Groups submitting expressions of interest to join the Spring Festival can use their presence at the event to increase membership numbers and raise awareness about the great services they provide for the community.
Expressions of interest from community groups and performers are due by Friday 17 August 2018. Expression of Interest forms can be accessed from Council’s website at www.whitehorse.vic.gov.au/Spring-Festival.html.
