The power of plants shines in photography at Box Hill Community Arts Centre

12 Apr 2018

See plants like you’ve never seen them before in a new exhibition this month at Box Hill Community Arts Centre.

Whitehorse Councillor Sharon Ellis said unique lighting methods have been used by artists Man and Wah Cheung to capture plants on film, showing stunning, beautiful and intricate details.

“This display of large photographic prints and audio visual projections shows the majestic and powerful forms and colours of plants from around the world,” Cr Ellis said.

“The works allow the audience to stop and amaze at the beauty and intricate design seen in each of the large portraits. The finest details are visible as the exhibition explores the wondrous world of fauna.”

The exhibition, Botanical Cosmos Mackay, demonstrates the talents of Man and Wah Cheung. They invite us to pause and appreciate the role nature plays in sustaining a liveable planet, while encouraging us to reflect and deeper contemplate our relationship with nature.

The artistic duo – also brothers – have created a stunning, free exhibition.
